Overview
As a proposed music streaming app, Prism makes its focus to prioritize remixes and mashups from electronic music producers as a way to highlight both famous professional and budding local artists from varying parts of the world.
Objective
Create the layout and interface for a music streaming app that can host and promote producers and artists through showcasing remixes. The overall design had to make the design not too overwhelming for its users and let creators know that this is a place where they are welcomed no matter the skill level.
Approach
The initial concept was centered around prisms and linking the idea of refracting and changing light to how a remix is a "refraction" of an original song. The interface was to be simple yet modern, to users and creators alike, and taking inspiration from other music apps and improving on their feel, usage, and design.
