Overview
Fifthsmith is a metals restoration shop, located on 5th street in Austin, Texas, that specializes in the upkeep of metal antiques, heirlooms, and objects with sentimental value.
Objective
The goal was to create several branding touchpoints, assets, and logo placement for their business. Their goal is to be expand their reach and visual recognition through branded materials for both employees and customers alike.
Approach
The ideation came from combining an object commonly associated with metal work, in this case an anvil, and the number five for the main location of the shop. The color was a choice of going warm to reflect heat or cool for metal. Cool tones ended up being the preferred palette as to not also invoke rusted metal imagery.
